Adults and children in grades 6+ are invited to register for a FREE guitar and ukulele course, led by Prairie Music & Arts instructor Kyle Rightley. Participants should have basic experience with guitar or ukulele and must bring their own instrument. Mr. Rightley holds a Bachelor's degree in Euphonium Performance from the University of Colorado-Boulder, and a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to his primary instruments of euphonium, guitar and trombone, he can also be heard playing keyboards, concert bells, mandolin, percussion, bass, and just about anything he can get his hands on. He says, "My goal is to empower students to be able to make music with their peers, friends, family, or anyone."
Three sessions will be held at the library from 10:00-11:00am on Saturdays: January 27, March 17, and May 19. Two additional sessions will be held at Prairie Music and Arts from 6:00-7:00pm on Wednesdays: February 14 and April 25. Due to space limitations, registration is required. Click here to register.
This free program is being offered through a colloboration with Prairie Music & Arts, Heid Music, and the Sun Prairie Public Library.
