In 1945, Senator J. William Fulbright introduced a bill to use surplus war property to fund the promotion of international good will through the exchange of scholars. He thought that if countries were to share its scholars, artists, journalists and scientists, it would deter the possibility of another World War. Today the Fulbright program operates in 160 countries worldwide. Hear about the adventures of a Fulbright Scholar in 2012/2013 and how it has changed how and what people teach at UW-Whitewater College of Business and Economics.
