Governor Tony Evers has extended the Safer at Home order that was set to expire on April 24. The new order will last until May 26, but will allow for libraries to offer curbside pickup of books. Although this order is brand new (it was announced less than 30 minutes ago), we have been preparing for this type of opening. Over the next week, we will be meeting with staff to determine the best way to start offering this new service. As you can imagine, with a service population of 40,000 people and large volumes of materials coming in and out of the building all day, we are not going to rush this service into existence.
Curbside pickup will begin on Monday, May 4.
Thank you for your patience as we seek the best and safest way to provide this service. Keep watching for announcements on this page, our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
