A Letter from the Library Director

September 3, 2020

Dear Sun Prairie Public Library Patrons,

The Sun Prairie Public Library aims to provide excellent library services while keeping our community safe during a public health crisis. We do so by following Public Health Madison Dane County guidelines and the City of Sun Prairie’s phased reopening plans which has resulted in some changes as to how we offer library services. These changes will go into effect on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

We want to share how the Sun Prairie Public Library will serve you as we enter the fall, the 2020-21 school year and the cold and flu season.

The biggest change is that all holds will now be delivered through our Curbside Pickup Service only.

Patrons needing to access our computers, printing, faxing and photocopying services will still be able to do so during Express Technology Service hours. In addition, test proctoring services can be made by appointment and patrons can come inside to return materials when the bookdrop is closed during Express Technology Service hours.

We have expanded our Curbside capacity with new software for appointments and have added more parking spots to double our capacity.

Please visit our website for complete and updated information. If you have any questions or comments, you can reach us here or you may call (608) 825-7323.

It is an honor to serve the Sun Prairie community and I thank you for your patience, understanding and support.

Best,

Svetha Hetzler

Sun Prairie Public Library Director
