Settlin': Stories of Madison's Early African American Families

Muriel Simms, author, activist, educator, and the recipient of numerous awards, including a Muriel Simms Day mayoral proclamation, the Martin Luther King Jr. Woman of Achievement Award, and an Unsung Heroine Award from the NAACP, will share selections from the stories she collected for her recently released Wisconsin Historical Society Press book, Settlin': Stories of Madison's Early African American Families.  A Q&A followed by book sale and signing will conclude the event.
