Beanstack Summer Reading Program FAQ
Q: Where do we go to register?
A: You can download the app (available on iOS & Android) or register online here: https://sunprairiepubliclibrary.beanstack.org
Q: Does each kid need their own account?
A: The easiest thing to do is to sign up as a parent and then sign up the kids with you as a family. Think of it like a car – the parent is the driver and the kids are passengers. The kids will each participate separately but it will all be one account.
Q: When it asks for the child’s grade level, do you put the grade they just finished or the grade they’re going into?
A: Please put the grade and school they are going into in Fall 2021.
A: Great question! Pick the one that best fits how your child and family! If it's easier to keep track of individual titles (simply scan the ISBN barcodes with your phone), then titles might be better for you! If logging blocks of time works best, then time is probably the way to go.
Q: So if my child does multiple Challenges, they're not getting extra prizes?
A: Correct! Everyone who finishes ONE challenge this year will receive ONE Library Bag of Swag, which will include a chance to pick out a prize book from a preselected "menu" of brand new books, and ONE Library Champion Sign. Any additional Challenges that are completed are for the fun of reading! Parents, you can choose to give additional incentives if you'd like.
Q: Can I pick up the prizes with my Curbside Pick Up?
A: Yes! All you have to do is pick out a prize book (one per child) from our selection and then give us a call at 608-825-0701 or email us and we'll get the prizes all ready to pick up. If you have books to pick up at the same time, we can make sure to get everything to you all at once. We'll just have to get some infromation from you to check out your materials and make an appointment.
